Dr. Steven Meier, Medical Director
Steven W. Meier, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon that focuses on shoulder, knee and athletic injuries with expertise in joint preserving replacement surgery of the knee and shoulder. His emphasis is on minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, and he has a particular interest in all-arthroscopic repair for rotator cuff injury and shoulder instability as well as reconstructive cartilage and knee ligament surgery. His specialized training provides him with expertise in using state-of-the-art, arthroscopic techniques for treating problems of the shoulder, knee, elbow, hip and ankle.
Teaching and research are essential for staying at the forefront of this evolving medical specialty. Dr. Meier regularly presents original research, performs surgery internationally and teaches advanced arthroscopic procedures to surgeons all over the world in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa as well as throughout the United States. He has also published numerous articles in specialty textbooks and journals, and has his own orthopedic sports medicine practice.

Dr. Joseph Isaacson, Orthopedic Surgeon
Joseph Isaacson, MD, specializes in working with children and people with congenital abnormalities and small stature. He also specializes in joint reconstructive surgery in young adults. Dr. Isaacson works at City of Hope with childhood cancer patients. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at the University of Southern California and a member of the medical staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where he has served on many medical committees including the Medical Executive Committee. He is also on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he has held more than 14 committee and board offices.
Dr. Melvin Nutig, Orthopedic Surgeon
Melvin Nutig, MD, has had a long and distinguished career in orthopedic surgery, and he is proud of his position as one of the senior members of the Beverly Hills Orthopedic Group. He is a general orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in sports medicine, as well as shoulder, elbow, hip and knee surgery. He was also an early champion of telemedicine, the use of modern communication technology for the delivery of medical care where it might otherwise not be available. Dr. Peter Newton, Orthopedic Surgeon
Peter Newton, MD began his orthopedic training in New York City with an orthopedic research fellowship at Columbia University. Thereafter, he completed his general surgery internship at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital followed by his orthopedic residency at the New York Orthopedic Hospital, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then spent an additional year in San Diego, obtaining a fellowship in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic surgery, and knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Andrew Weiss, Orthopedic Surgeon
Andrew Weiss, MD, attended medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine where he graduated honors/ Alpha Omega Alpha . He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at UCLA/ Harbor Medical Center. Dr. Weiss is a b oard- certified Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He serves on staff at Cedar Sinai Medical Center and Olympia Medical Center. He also serves on the faculty of Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, and his own orthopedic surgery and sports medicine practice.
Dr. Eric Millstein, Orthopedic Surgeon
Eric Millstein, MD, has presented research on long-term outcomes of ACL reconstruction and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is b oard-c ertified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and remains active in teaching other surgeons complex arthroscopic techniques as a complement to his clinical practice.
Dr. Sonu Ahluwalia, Orthopedic Surgeon
Sonu Ahluwalia, MD, received his orthopaedic training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Boston, one of the most sought after training programs in orthopaedic surgery. He completed a fellowship in Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) in Boston. He is trained in arthroscopic repair of rotator cuffs and cartilage repair of the shoulder as well as conventional and reverse shoulder replacement surgery as well as advance techniques for knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and other sports related conditions.
Dr. Rajan Patel, Orthopedic Surgeon
Rajan Patel, MD, is an accomplished board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor. He served as the team physician for professional league baseball, soccer, tennis and hockey athletes. Most surgeons take one fellowship, but it was during Dr. Patel’s second fellowship training, in joint reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania, that he crafted his skills in complex adult reconstruction of the hip. Along with primary and revision joint reconstruction, his other clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, alternative bearings for joint reconstruction, CAS (computer assisted surgery), and orthobiologic applications in orthopedics surgery.
Dr. Neil Ghodadra, Orthopedic Surgeon
Neil Ghodadra, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon that focuses on minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip. His unique background includes extensive training and expertise in cartilage restoration of the knee and joint preserving osteotomies as well as treatment of complex shoulder conditions, ranging from shoulder instability and rotator cuff repair surgery to shoulder replacement surgery. Dr. Ghodadra is fellowship trained in Shoulder and Sports Medicine Surgery and has a particular interest in taking care of athletes. Dr. Ghodadra was a team physician for the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago White Sox (MLB) and has also served as team physician for multiple semi-professional, university, and high school teams in football, hockey, and gymnastics.
