What is TENEX Health TX?

TENEX Health TX for Percutaneous Tenotomy and Percutaneous Fasciotomy is based on technology that was developed along with the famous Mayo Clinic. The TENEX Health TX system combines the traditional ultrasound with a highly-advanced microchip known as the TX MicroTip™. The ultrasound is used to pinpoint the exact location of the damaged tendon tissue and the TX MicroTIp chip delivers ultrasonic energy specifically designed to break-down and remove the damaged tissue as well as stimulate a healing response. One of the advantages to the TENEX Health TX system is that the surrounding tissue is left alone and undisturbed. Since this tissue is avoided, the patient will appreciate a faster recovery period along with less discomfort and pain when compared to the traditional open surgical procedures.

The TENEX Health TX system affords the same level of success as open surgery without all the drawbacks. This minimally-invasive procedure can be performed in 20 minutes or less in an outpatient facility and requires only local anesthesia. The tiny microinsertion of the MicroTip is only 3mm, reducing infection risk and requiring just a small adhesive bandage for closure. Most patients report very little pain from the procedure and are able to manage the swelling with over-the-counter medications. Due to the nature of the system, patients can easily return to normal activities in as little as 2-6 weeks.
